There's something very weighty and talismanic about this piece. All of the colors are muted and the different shapes and textures combine to make something extraordinary.
I used a SeaUrchin pendant of white stoneware clay with a mottled ochre and tan glaze glaze filled with colourless, pale turquoise and dark brown crackled glass.
Around the pendant are pinch disks of Grecian copper dipped clay with a verdigris finish and 4 pieces of marvelous antique metal. The rest of the necklace is made of Botswana agate, serpentine, upcycled wood, bits of whitish stone and two peachy pearls.
I finished it with a handmade sterling silver toggle clasp and it's 17 1/2 inches (44cm)
